Aerosol
MILSPRAY's single use aerosol touch-up product is ideally suited for touching up any existing CARC finish and is available in a wide variety of colors.

MILSPRAY's aerosol product affords the soldier the ability to achieve a high quality finish on any existing CARC painted vehicle or gear. Since the material is water based, it is a safe and effective means of performing corrosion repair and marking and stenciling of vehicles and equipment. It is the authorized and approved method for touching up vehicles and equipment having a CARC paint finish.

MILSPRAY® CARC touch-up products are used by the U.S. Army worldwide. They preserve and restore the IR signature reduction and chemical and biological agent resistance properties of the original CARC application. IR homing weapon systems use a vehicle or aircraft's IR signature for target identification and destruction. Using non-compliant, non-mil spec, commercially available aerosol touch-up paints creates a hot spot and substantially compromises the signature reduction properties of CARC.

MILSPRAY's pre-filled bottle of QPL CARC paint starts with a specially treated bottle that ensures storage stability and maximizes shelf life. The innovative brush head, made of the finest material available, uses a series of delivery tubes that transport paint from the bottle through the bristles to the work area requiring touch-up, and leaves little or no brush marks. The bottle stands upright when not in use. The one inch wide brush is ideal for touch-up of irregular surfaces, such as up armor bolt heads, seams and joints, and round surfaces such as mirror brackets, slings, and tie downs. The use of the brush applicator allows the safe application of CARC material without atomization or the use of any aerosol propellants. To use, simply mix the components as directed, then squeeze the bottle. The coating material travels through the delivery tubes to the brush head. Apply a wet coat in even, parallel passes, overlapping each pass 50 percent to avoid bare areas and pinholes.

Single-Component
The same quality touch-up product you've come to expect from MILSPRAY® - now pre-filled with single component MIL-DTL 53039 CARC. Just like our two-component water-based brush, roller, and vacuum gun products, MILSPRAY's pre-filled single-component offerings start with a specially treated bottle that ensures storage stability and maximizes shelf life. The bottle stands upright when not in use. The innovative head on our brush product is made of the finest material available and uses a series of delivery tubes that transport paint from the bottle through the bristles to the work area requiring touch-up, and leaves little or no brush marks. It is ideal for touch-up of irregular surfaces, such as up armor bolt heads, seams and joints, and round surfaces such as mirror brackets, slings, and tie downs. The innovative foam material on our roller product is engineered and manufactured exclusively for MILSPRAY®, and the two inch wide head is ideal for touching up flat areas quickly.

Applying single-component CARC using either a brush, roller or vacuum gun dramatically reduces exposure to harmful airborne particles since no atomization or propellant is needed to apply touch-up. Since no propellants are needed in order to transfer the material to the substrate, no additional Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are added to the process.

MILSPRAY's pre-filled bottle of QPL CARC paint starts with a specially treated bottle that ensures storage stability and maximizes shelf life. The innovative foam material is engineered and manufactured exclusively for MILSPRAY® and is compatible with a multitude of mil-spec coatings. The special high-density, closed cell foam allows for the safe application of CARC material without atomization or the use of any aerosol propellants. The resulting finish quality is virtually indistinguishable from a spray finish. The bottle stands upright when not in use, and there is an integrated plug attached to the roller head that is used to temporarily reseal the bottle. To use, simply squeeze the bottle and the coating material dispenses directly onto the foam roller. Roll out the material onto any substrate. The two inch wide roller makes it perfect for touching up flat areas quickly.

Vacuum Touch-Up System
Two-Component
MILSPRAY's revolutionary vacuum touch-up system was designed to apply low voc, high solids military coatings. It combines the principals of fluid dynamics and the Bernoulli Effect and yields transfer efficiencies greater than any other application system of its type. The heart of the system is a molded one piece handle that has a precision pathway bored through a solid plastic housing. This results in reduced friction, less air turbulence, less wall friction, and fewer obstructions. In fact, the vacuum gun contains none of the parts found in a typical spray gun because it is not a spray gun. There are no needles, flow regulators or other parts found in a traditional spray gun system.

Utilizing MILSPRAY's five ounce bottles containing PPG Aerospace/DesothaneTM HS military & defense topcoats/CA 8200 series, a vacuum is created within the bottle and the material is actually pulled from the bottle and transferred to the substrate. There is no blow back, no overspray, and no Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPS). Extremely low air pressure is required to create the vacuum - approximately 15-25 psi. It can be connected to any compressor or air line.

The vacuum gun has "system limiters" and fixed factory settings. There are no flow or volume controls and no way to increase the amount of coating that can be dispensed through the vacuum gun. Additionally, the vacuum gun only accepts MILSPRAY® touch-up bottles and will not work with any larger capacity cups or bottles. This ensures that the system is used for its intended purpose - touch-up.

Quart
Two-Component
MILSPRAY® quarts offer an inexpensive means of obtaining the same Mil-Spec material found in our touch up products in a manageable quart size. Each quart of base or “A” component has just enough room in it to pour the catalyst, or “B” component. Simply add the contents of the “B” container to the contents of the “A” container and shake or mix thoroughly. Each component has been pre-measured to ensure that mixing ratios are correct and that one (1) quart of mixed material results. For spray applications it may be necessary to thin the material. Please see the thinning instructions for the specific material ordered.
