MILSPRAY's approach to research is predicated on the belief that it should be directed towards solving specific problems facing today’s military. It is a pragmatic, needs-driven, highly focused approach. For this approach to work it is imperative that a company truly understand the needs of its customers. While many companies develop products in a laboratory vacuum and then search for a suitable use for their product or material, MILSPRAY's research efforts are driven by the specific needs of the U.S. military. When IEDs first threatened U.S troops, MILSPRAY undertook an aggressive applied research program in an attempt to quickly and effectively protect U.S. troops in HMMWVs. The result was a complete turnkey solution consisting of a blast resistant coating, a field deployable application facility, and highly trained personnel. It was applied research in its purest form which resulted in a protective coating system that has been applied to USMC vehicles both here in the U.S. and in Iraq. |
